Monthly General Meeting
July 13, 2026
Location: FCHS Cafeteria, 131 Almon C Hill Drive, Cumming, GA 30040
Welcome: Michelle Der-called to order, Mary, Jan
Band Camp: Scott Mulkay-Ella’s Dad with Maria Park-10:30a, 12:15p, 3pm meet in
cafeteria for breakfast, lunch, snack. Bringing donations: grapes (everyone,) the rest by
name. Maybe bring bananas vs. grapes. Bring donations again next Monday. More food
donations needed for lunches next week. Scan QR code.
Fill out medication forms for the year for your student.
Reminder what kids need for band camp.
Volunteer opportunities: Band camp, Props/Equipment, concessions, student meals,
chaperones, fundraising/marketing, Ameris. Thank you to the people who cleaned the
concession stand yesterday.
Uniform updates: most fitted, be here 8:30am Wednesday for final fitting. Orders placed
to be in time for band photos end of July. Make sure students have compression wear
(shirts, shorts) and black socks. Tucker prefers compression shirts. Pep band good for
show shirt.
Financials: Mary Smith, Treasurer: $81,400 in bank*…Cash reserves from last year-will
be used to purchase speakers. Brakes for small trailer to be fixed from these reserves
as well. Money used for technical experts. Props: paint, supplies to build will be coming
out of budget.
Talk to Mary or Susan to help with ways to make your dues go down with fundraising.
Chart of how the money is spent per the budget. Budget is used for all seasons of the
band (year long).
Fundraising: Heather Smith VP: $100k goal, Raised $17k so far
3 fundraisers coming up: August-‘Sponsor My Show’-$100 per student* if approved
Mattress fundraiser (confirmed) Saturday, September 19 10a-5p, in the cafeteria
Boo Baskets: October 1-15, 10 miles around the school limit, delivered 18-26 th . Will be
on our website.
Sponsorships: looking for 5 new sponsors by the August meeting. 50% goes to student
Tomorrow the 14 th of July: Jeremiah’s Ice-all day 12p-10p. Off of Bethelview
Everyone needs to be involved in fundraising to fill the gap between the dues and the
budget.
Director: Tom Tucker: times for band camp. (M, T 9a-4p, W, T, F 9a-5p, next week 9a-
6p)
Need paint for field lines. Sent out PDF for band camp, maybe no milk before camp, get
sleep!
Michelle: football program shoutouts for band members due 7/15 $15 Venmo-
@ForsythCentral-Cheer Must pay to be considered being received. Can also do a
senior ad in the football program – different sizes
Jennifer here Friday to do bibber alterations if needed
Band photos 7/24 (also Dawg Day) 8am group photo, section and individuals
throughout the day.
