Please remember that “Going to the Fair” is NOT an excuse for missing Band Practice!  Students missing Band Practice to go to the Fair will NOT perform at the 1st Competition.  No exceptions!  Go to the Fair Wednesday!

Monday, October 6th

Forsyth County Marching Exhibition hosted by the Forsyth Central “Flash of Crimson” Band.

Here are 3 versions of the Exhibition Flyer for sharing on your Social Media.  Please share with friends and family!  We need a BIG crowd and we need a big Fundraising payoff!!

Please note, if you are not working the Exhibition with the Boosters and are planning to sit and watch the event, you’ll need a ticket to get in!

Schedule:

4pm Move everything to Stadium.  Be dressed in bibbers, show shirt, dinkles, and black socks.  Make sure that you have a WATER JUG for tomorrow.

4:30pm Rehearse

6:00pm Go to Bandroom to get Hats and Jackets

6:30pm Wind Ensemble/Wind Symphony/Battery that are in Marching Band will play National Anthem on the track.  Drum Majors need to bring the small podiums to the track.

6:40pm Perform “Just Fantasy” show.

6:50pm Move everything back to the Bandroom and take off Jackets and Hats.

7:00pm Return to Bleachers to watch Lambert and the rest of the Bands.

7:40pm If you Pre-ordered a meal last week, these will be delivered to the Stands at 7:40pm.  If you did not, you can bring $$ and get food from the Concession Stand or the Food Trucks.

9:25 The last band, North Forsyth should be finishing.  At that point, all members need to help clean up the stadium stands, field, and help the Concession Stand parents.

Tuesday, October 7th

Full Band Rehearsal 4-6:30

Wednesday, October 8th

They are NOT doing the Children’s Healthcare Parade this year.  Use this night to go to the Fair if you are going.

Thursday, October 9th

Full Band Rehearsal 4-6:30pm

Friday, October 10th

Away Game versus Denmark HS.  Wear your Show Shirt for this game.

4:00pm Eat Pre-Order Meal in Hallway.  We’ll be watching a movie in the Bandroom, not hacking :)

6:00pm Load truck

6:30pm Depart for Denmark.

It’s Denmark’s Homecoming, so we will only be playing in the Stands.  I haven’t received a link for for meals from Denmark, so be ready to order from the concession stand.

We’ll be on break at Halftime.

Full Band Rehearsal 4-6:30pm

Thursday, October 16th

Away Game vs. Lambert.  The plan is to perform our whole Show at Lambert as the Lambert Band will not be there (they’ll be on a trip to Orlando).  Hoping to work out bringing the Props and everything.  I’ll have a schedule in next week’s update.

This is the Flowery Branch Competition.  This is a TENATIVE schedule as I haven’t received a FINAL schedule from the yet.

TENATIVE schedule:

1:00pm - Open Band Room and Set-up

1:30 - Rehearse

3:30 - Load and Eat

5:00 - Depart for Flowery Branch

6:00 - Unload and get into Uniforms

7:15 - Warm-up

8:20 - Perform

8:40 - Load Truck

9:00 - Dinner on your own.  Bring $$ for Concession Stand

9:40 - Awards

10:30 - Depart for FCHS

11:30 - Unload Truck

12:00 - Dismiss
